The name says it all. Luna is the moon, Hart is the stag, and winemaker Gretchen Voelcker chose them to capture the balance she chases in every bottle, a meeting of feminine and masculine, softness and structure, instinct and control.

Balance, by hand

Luna Hart is an ultra-small-production label made with minimal intervention and serious craft. Voelcker keeps her wines crisp and high in acid with delicate handling, but she is not afraid to take risks: skin contact on the whites for texture and grip, careful attention to tannin on the reds. That push and pull between freshness and structure is the whole point, and it gives the wines a personality that bigger, more cautious producers rarely match.

The wines

Luna Hart works in a natural-leaning, exploratory register, with crisp, often skin-contact whites and bright, structured reds drawn from cool Santa Barbara fruit. These are wines of energy and texture rather than weight, made in tiny quantities for people who like their wine alive and a little adventurous.

What to drink it with

The crisp and skin-contact whites are wonderfully food-friendly, cutting through richer dishes and standing up to bolder flavors, so pour them with roast chicken, charcuterie, or spiced vegetable dishes. The bright, structured reds love grilled meats and mushrooms, where their acidity keeps everything fresh and their tannin meets the fat.
